New BVLGARI SPA adds some sparkle to Beijing
BVLGARI SPA sets new benchmark for luxury wellness facilities in Beijing
The latest jewel in the Bulgari Hotels & Resorts luxury hospitality collection, the Bulgari Hotel Beijing, officially opened on 27th September. Located in the mixed-use Genesis complex, adjacent to the Tadao Ando-designed Genesis Art Foundation, right in the heart of Beijing’s exclusive Embassy District, this 119-guestroom ‘urban resort’ was designed by the highly acclaimed architecture studio Citterio-Viel & Partners as an oasis of tranquillity that blends art with nature.
The BVLGARI SPA, brought into operational reality by GOCO Hospitality, is one of the hotel’s defining features. The spa combines the timeless glamour and heritage of Bulgari with a contemporary Italian luxury that’s blended with unique local Chinese influences. Employing rare and lavish materials and custom-built design features, the BVLGARI SPA distinctly reflects the exclusive Bulgari lifestyle: luxurious design, diverse offerings and exceptional and personalised service. The BVLGARI SPA has raised the bar for Beijing’s spa and wellness sector, providing a new benchmark for luxury hotel spas in the city, and become recognised as the place where Beijing’s most discerning visitors and residents enjoy the finest spa treatments.
The 1,500 m2 BVLGARI SPA spreads across two floors of the hotel and displays some of the most extensive wellness facilities available in Beijing, including a 25 m swimming pool, a vitality pool, relaxation lounges, eight treatment rooms and two treatment suites, a male grooming room, as well as various heat and water facilities, which include a steam room, a sauna and an ice fountain.
GOCO Hospitality worked closely with the Bulgari team and leading product partners on developing the BVLGARI SPA’s range of treatments, including signature treatment journeys such as the Himalayan Crystal Healing Journey, which employs incredibly pure ancient Himalayan salt crystals in a series of treatments that work together to cleanse and purify the body. Another of the journeys was specially developed to repair and protect the skin from the negative effects of atmospheric pollution through the nourishing powers of organic plants and fruit, such as avocado, pomegranate seed oil and jasmine. Taking inspiration from ancient Chinese health and wellness philosophies, a further signature journey combines a detailed understanding of qi, tai chi, acupressure and foot reflexology to improve energy flow and blood circulation, leaving guests feeling fully revitalised.
Ingo Schweder, Founder and CEO of GOCO Hospitality, stated that, “We very much enjoyed working closely with the highly experienced Bulgari team to help bring their stunning vision to life. The new BVLGARI SPA will truly be a leading wellness facility for the residents of and visitors to Beijing.”
