‘THE SPA’ at Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof Receives Industry Stamp of Approval

GOCO’s latest opening takes home SENSES Wellness Award 2013

Great rejoicing in Bangkok and Frankfurt!

Conceptualized and operated by GOCO Hospitality, THE SPA at Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof has won the SENSES award for “Best New Concept Spa 2013.“

The awards were presented at a night of glitz and glamour, during the International Tourism Fair in Berlin, bringing together the best of the best from the hotel and tourism industry.

Ingo Schweder, founder and CEO of GOCO Hospitality, accepted the prize in person from SENSES editor Peggy Bien. Honored by this win, he comments: “THE SPA at Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof is our first project in Germany, and we have invested more than a year of preparation into its opening. We are therefore delighted that after such a short time we have been able to convince an international expert jury of our distinct and innovative approach. ”

SENSES, the international health and lifestyle guide, has served as a barometer for the world’s finest spas, most exclusive destinations, and most outstanding gourmet restaurants for the past 20 years. Award nominees are only able to enter upon special invitation by the SENSES jury, and are judged on a variety of criteria including number of treatments in the spa, quality of service, compliance with standards, and more.

Spanning a total space of 1,000 square meters, THE SPA at the Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof officially opened on February 1st of this year, as part of an effort to re-energize the hotels’ classical service platform. Although open only a short time, The SENSES jury has confirmed its great importance for both the hotel and the entire spa industry.

Developed by GOCO Hospitality, THE SPA is exceptionally unique. It utilizes modern, high quality materials and incorporates a wide variety of effective services that appeal to men and women, as well as business and leisure guests.

Creating an additional social hub in the Frankfurter Hof for the local community, the facility features:

  • Individual treatment rooms

  • Ultra-luxurious spa suite with lounge seating, couple’s treatment bed’s, private bath and Jacuzzi

  • Advanced beauty cabins

  • Co-ed wet area with steam room, Finnish sauna, experience showers, heated tepidarium loungers and authentic hamam where guests are pampered by a true Tellak

  • Unique HOMMAGE Barbershop for “gentlemen only”

  • Ladies’ Nail salon

THE SPA treatment menu guides guests through a ‘Modern European Spa Experience’ and utilizes simple language to showcase proven benefits. On offer are traditional European therapies that are complemented by contemporary and modern beauty techniques.

Incorporating a “Made in Germany” concept, GOCO Hospitality has opted for collaboration with two German cosmetics brands Amala and MBR; two companies that pride themselves on delivering visible results while protecting the environment at the same time.
