The Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi has its much-anticipated grand opening on 1st July. Comprised of a mix of 122 beach, reef and overwater pool villas, along with a collection of 11 exquisite F&B offerings, all set within the stunning natural surroundings of the Maldives, the resort will deliver a highly exclusive tropical paradise experience for the most discerning international travellers.
A key feature helping this new resort make its mark in the competitive Maldivian luxury resort market is the Waldorf Astoria Spa. Set amidst a lush botanical garden and extending out into the shimmering waters of the Indian Ocean, the spa delivers luxurious treatments based on the three pillars of Relaxation, Rebalancing and Results.
The spa offers eight couples’ treatment villas, including a VIP spa villa, and two single treatment villas. Six of the treatment villas are nestled within the gardens and four perch above the water, offering uninterrupted views out across the ocean. There is also a cutting-edge gym, an overwater mind & body pavilion and a salon.
GOCO Hospitality was engaged to support the creation of the spa by initially conducting market research and a feasibility study. This then informed the spa’s overall concept. GOCO Hospitality’s design team supported the process to ensure an operationally effective and efficient design.
