Designed by world-renowned architect Tadao Ando, the Diaoyutai State Guest House was set to become one of Beijing’s top lifestyle destinations, with 64 guest rooms, a museum of Chinese art and a cultural centre. GOCO Hospitality was engaged to develop the expansive 12,500 square metre spa and wellness space, incorporating 30 treatment rooms, a traditional Chinese medicine clinic and a 6,000 square metre aqua circuit with water pumped from natural wells 3,000 metres below ground. GOCO Hospitality conducted the initial market research and feasibility study, developed the spa concept, and provided technical design consultancy.
