Designed by world-renowned architect Tadao Ando, the Diaoyutai State Guest House was set to become one of Beijing’s top lifestyle destinations, with 64 guest rooms, a museum of Chinese art and a cultural centre. GOCO Hospitality was engaged to develop the expansive 12,500 square metre spa and wellness space, incorporating 30 treatment rooms, a traditional Chinese medicine clinic and a 6,000 square metre aqua circuit with water pumped from natural wells 3,000 m below ground. GOCO Hospitality conducted the initial market research and feasibility study, developed the spa concept, and provided technical design consultancy.
